In this case, it is advisable to reintroduce solids slowly to the diet. Take care that there is no meat eaten for the first 48 hours following this diet. This would mean that there should be no meat consumption for a full four days. If possible, it is always a good idea to stay off meat for a few days. Apart from this, he should also drink large quantities of water, which will help to alleviate gas. Avoidance of gas causing foods such as beans and preserved foods would help remedy the situation.
