RainyMood Brings Rainstorm Ambience to Your Office

Earlier this week we asked if you listened to ambient sounds or music to help focus and boost your productivity. Those of you that enjoyed listening to white noise and nature sounds like ocean surf will want to check out RainyMood.

Unlike many of the ambient noise tools we've reviewed at Lifehacker like SimplyNoise, Buddha Machine, and iSerenity, RainyMoods has a distinct lack of toggles or options. The entire site is a giant play button and a few side widgets to encourage you to share the service on social networks. Pressing the play button starts a loop of a summer rainstorm. The loop of the quality is very high and on par with the type of recordings you'll find on CDs with nature-sound themes.

It's a one trick pony but if you find the sound of rain storms to be a happy medium between the bore of pure white noise and the distraction of actual music, it's a handy tool. Have a favorite site or source for ambient music and samples? Let's hear about it in the comments. Thanks Jeremy!
