Satan's Savages MC #4

Meltdown of Mad Dog

Rate this book
My name is Mad Dog.
I’m the President of the Virginia Satan’s Savages MC.
I’m a man with nothing left to fight for.

My name is Amelia.
My life’s a mess.
All because of my ex-husband and his Goddamned MC Club.

In the early days, Mad Dog and Amelia were undeniably happy. Their life in the club together, along with their three young boys, was bliss. That was until one fateful night their world turned upside down. Having their lives torn apart pulled them in opposite directions.

Mad Dog is trying to run a club that’s failing miserably, and all he can think of is the family he once had and lost. With the club irreparably broken—his family gone, his brothers turning on him—Mad Dog is losing track of everything, and running the club in a direction no one saw coming. The Cartel is on his back, and he wants war. But will the war only lead him down the path to the inevitable? A Meltdown of Mad Dog?

Tick tock, tick tock ...boom! This is a car crash in slow motion, one that you just can't tear your eyes away from although you know it's about to get messy and the things you see you will never ever be able to unsee. Mad Dog has slowly been going off the rails throughout the series and the derailment is long over due. What if you gave up the sun thinking you held the moon and the stars but all you really had was dust? Mad Dog has moments of doubt and starts to question the direction of his club. Being an original founding member he has seen it grow from nothing and after thirty years he has taken his fair share of loss. Wearing the scars of the brotherhood on his heart they are raw and festering. When the Cartel won't back down and he has no other option but to go down a road best left untraveled Mad Dog becomes a little rabid.

This book sees a club descend into madness, with its leader taking it to the next level almost anything goes and it gets dark. Doing things that he knows his son would not be proud of Mad Dog pretends he is unfazed by the choices he has made yet the past haunts him. Can he make amends with his ghosts and set his club on a path that will lead to their fortune? Unfortunately sometimes the rip tide is too strong and takes you further out to sea than you ever thought possible...

A bitter sweet addition to this series that sees club business with the Cartel come to its conclusion. A few loose ends are also resolved and all in all it left me feeling like the characters all had their closure. Even Amelia and Willow had their chance at making sure karma paid a visit to a certain someone. With a little less love and romance this part of the story is full on MC read and goes a whole lot grittier than before. The body count is high and no leaves without blood on their hands.

A four star read.

The one we have been waiting for....Mad Dogs meltdown.....

Personally I couldn't wait to see what took him down.....but then I found my thoughts changing. Realising that he was actually a person....he once had a loving family that was ripped apart, he remembered the good times, longed for them even....but he was ruled by power.....and that's where he went wrong.

Great to see the crossover from The Violet Widow and see what went on from a different perspective and I so want Techies story!

This is the 4th book in the Satan’s Savages MC series by author K E Osborn. I have been lucky enough to read the previous books, and had already formed my opinion of Mad Dog, to keep it simple, I didn’t like him, and he had very few redeeming qualities. That being said, his love and the sacrifices he made for his estranged wife and son (Steele – book 1) were admirable.

This book is so completely different to the previous books in the series. All the others had the love/romance element, which kept things lighter, but this book, holy smoke; this is a no holds barred, full on law breaking, sick and twisted page turner. The kind of things Mad Dog sanctions is just deplorable, but that’s what made this book the gripping book that it was. Although I didn’t like Mad Dog, and can’t say that my opinion has changed even now, what I will say is that by the end of the book I had a smidgen of respect for the ultimate sacrifice that he made. And the scene with Amelia (his estranged wife) and Dylan (Steele) near the end of the book did bring a lump to my throat and a tear to my eye.

There were some scenes in this book where I was screaming ‘no, why would you do that to me, have I not suffered enough’, if you read and loved Stealth and all the characters in his book, you’ll know why I was so distraught at about 64%, I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to carry on, but I did, and had all sorts of theories going around in my head.

The direction the author took this book in was brave and she carried it off brilliantly. I am really looking forward to reading Taken by Techie, that book should definitely be on the lighter side, well fingers crossed!

Wow. Just wow. I was not expecting what I just read.

Everything in Mad Dog's world is falling apart; his wife left him years earlier, his son left to join another chapter with his Old Lady, half of his brothers left the club and then his club was infiltrated by undercover cops. Add to that the fact that the Cartel are still on his case, the trust between his brothers is at an all time low and he still misses his wife like crazy, the time has come that Mad Dog realises the life they are leading is just not one he wants to lead anymore.

When the Cartel issue comes to a head, Mad Dog starts a chain of events that are so dark and disturbing (and seriously, during some of this I was like wtf), he's disgusted with himself. When things start catching up to him, we truly see the Meltdown of Mad Dog.

This story was just... I'm not even sure how to word it to be honest. For the majority of it I was just gobsmacked at what was happening. I could tell Mad Dog had let out the crazy and he could see it was getting out of his control but he was helpless to stop it without looking weak in front of his club. The President can never look weak and all that.

I thought this was a very good ending to the Virginia Chapter's books in the series and I'm looking forward to reading about the Aldinga Chapter's books next, yay to Techie's story being next. I give Meltdown of Mad Dog 4.5stars.

OMFG what an amazing read!!! I have been following this series and absolutely loving it, this book has totally winded me though because just when you think you know a character... You learn things that seriously blow everything out of the water!!!
Mad Dog is the President of Satan's Savages MC and is trying to straighten things out following the involvement of Stealth and Sentinel (undercover cops) within the club! With the Mexican Cartel still breathing down his back, he needs to make choices... And quickly!!!
With twists and turns that will keep you reading and not wanting to stop, this is definitely a 10/10 read! If you have been following this series like i have, you need to be prepared for some shocking reveals! I now see Mad Dog through different eyes and i can understand him so much more now and why he is as he is!!!
Written with a passion and a beautiful surprise towards the end, i just know that you will love this read as much as i have... And there is a wonderful ending, one that by the time you read the last word in the book, you will feel like you have compleated a jigsaw puzzle and the last piece fits!!!... PERFECT!!!

Holyshit!!! What The Hell Did I Just Read? I Am Gobsmacked And Reeling From The Utter Meltdown. This Book Was Dark, Violent And Quite Frankly Quite Disturbing.

Although This Book Was Different From The Others, It Provided A Great Heart In The Mouth Read With Me Shouting At My Kindle A Lot.

I Am So Glad I Have Had The Chance To Read This Amazing Series. Bring On More. K.E Has A Way Of Writing That Just Keeps You Captured And Not Wanting It To End. Way To Go!!!

Wow!! I have been waiting for this book since I read the spin off series. This is the one that made me think I would not like this series as the bikers seemed to have no no redeeming qualities but the first books showed they did.
This is Mad dogs book. The President of the MC and why and how he had a total melt down. He is out of control and it all comes together in this book. If I didn't know better I would think this series would be ending with this one but there is a couple left and can't wait to see what is to come.

I felt a million different things while reading this book. But most of those feelings involved me loving to hate Mad Dog. He’s a dirty, dirty man but his story is heartbreaking. So while you are hating him, your heart will be breaking as well!! I loved this book so much, and I am in love with this series!! It’s gritty, deep and dirty!!!

I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this book. This is different from your normal MC book, this tells the tale of one man and his club I didn't always like Mad Dog and he is spot on with the way he sums himself up within the first chapter but I understood him, I empathised with him and towards the end I kinda liked the guy. I loved that we finally got the story behind everything that happened in the Violet Widow series and got to know the man who wrecked havoc on so many peoples life's.

THE PAST
Mad Dog had it all, a loving beautiful wife, 3 sons and his club. As club president he made choices not every one agreed with and every choice held a consequence. His life was torn apart years ago when his 8 year old twin sons were caught in the crossfire. He tried to make his marriage work but 9 years ago when he patched in his remaining 16 year old son Dylan that was a step too far and she left him for good. Last year Dylan fell in love and left his fathers chapter to go straight in a sister chapter and some of his brothers followed him.

Now Mad Dog has nothing left except his club, he is a man who knows no bounds, he is on a mission to keep his clubs cash flow flowing and he will do this any way possible. With The Cartel breathing down his neck trying to muscle in on his clubs turf he uses brute force to get his way. This ends up messy when him and his brothers start hurting women to send messages. But he never expected Violet, she had fire and she a mouth that she wasn't afraid to use. Unfortunately Violet learnt the hard way and things went to shit pretty quick for them all.

Mad Dog had no other option, he knew the way he was treating the women was wrong, if anyone had treated his wife that way he wouldn't stand for it. Somewhere along the line he grew a conscience but it never really stopped him. With things finally coming to an head Mad Dog knows what will happen and so does everyone around him.

I cant wait for the next book and to see where the author takes us next on this bloody journey!!!

In this 4th book of the Satan Savages MC, we will truly get behind the scenes with Mad Dog and his counterpart, Amelia. This book picks from Mad Dog's point of view right after the deaths of Stealth and Sentinel. Why do you ask did they die? Did you read book 3? If not, you'll find out minutes into the first chapter what was discovered that lead to their deaths. It really is funny to watch what the MC is watching over the cameras they installed at the warehouse. Oh, wait, that's right, it isn't even the first chapter yet when we see it all go down. Makes this book a fun start to the read! It is pretty apparent pretty quick on how swiftly Mad Dog is devolving into something that even Steel would not recognize. I am grateful as I read that Steel isn't there and don't know 1/3 of what is going on. We finally get to see the man behind the cartel issues that have been plaguing the club for a couple of books now. We find out his demands, and what Mad Dog plans on doing about it. This book is so much darker than the rest of them so far. I don't think I've read an MC book quite this brutal and bloody before. The ending blew me away and it was not what I was expecting, but one can see that yes, it is something that was definitely in the realm of possibilities. Just know there may be some triggers for folks in this particular book of the series, it is that dark. I cannot wait for Taken by Techie, Book 5 in this series. I like Techie. Keep up the good writing KE Osborn!

Wow just wow I'm finding it hard to find the right words to describe this book and I mean this in a totally good way. This book was an unexpected installment in this series. So far the rest haven't been as dark and twisted as this one. There was more of a love angle to them as well where this is more about the choices that Mad Dog has made to lose the love of his life and to where he is in life now.

Through this series I have not liked Mad Dog although he did do right by his son in a way, you could always tell that he was losing it. He was becoming darker and darker as the books went on and in this one he really does lose himself. I wanted to hate him and in a way I did because when everything goes a stray in his life he does some truly awful things. In the end he redeemed himself in a way and mad it where I no longer hated him but strongly disliked him. My heart broke a few times in this book for the actions he took and for those that were left to deal after his choices.

KE Osborn is really showing her talent as each book goes. She really went to a dark, gritty, twisted place in this book that couldn't have been hard to do. My chest ached throughout this whole book and I just wanted to put an end to the MC as the book went on. If you have been enjoying this series than this is a book you don't want to miss. We finally get answers to things that have been left out there and we get to see where the MC end up after the cartel has come into the picture. If you haven't checked this series out than you don't want to start with this one. I highly recommend this series, it is one that will leave you eager to get the next person's story. I can't wait for Techie's story!!

Ok I'm going to be completely honest here. After reading Stealth, I was a little bit let down. And now a couple weeks later I'm still not happy with how Stealth went. But there's something about this series that keeps pulling me back. Also with the way Mad Dog was in Stealth, I knew I had to read this one.

If you haven't read any of the books in this series and start with this one. You're probably going to be highly confused with what's going on and who's who. So I suggest to go back and read from the beginning. Because honestly you won't understand the Meltdown of Mad Dog and meltdown did he have.

Mad Dog is the president of the Satan Savages. He's also the father of Steel. Through out this whole series you see him breaking down more and more. I would say he becomes almost crazy. I'm not quite sure when his meltdown started, it might have been when Steel left or heck it could have started when he lost his other two boy's. But I think Steel leaving was the tipping point.

I have to say I really liked that this book started really where Stealth left off. I do wish we could have gotten to know Mad Dog a bit better, get into his head a bit more. Or maybe we really don't want to know what was going on in his twisted mind. This book started off a little bit lighter than I thought it would and than picked up. I will also admit that I did get a little teary for Mad Dog at the end.

I'm giving this book 4 stars out of 5 and can't wait for Techie!!!!

I have read the other three books in the series. I loved them and devoured them within a day or two. I felt the same about this one as well. I don't know what it is about K.E. Osborn's style of writing, but I am hooked from beginning to end. I can't get enough and I find myself trying to slow down just so it doesn't have to end.
I experienced mix feelings about this book. I still loved it like the rest, but it brought every emotion out of me. One minute I hated Mad Dog for everything he was putting his son, wife, and club through, and the next I wanted to punch him in the face myself. He was a royal asshole and wanted to get ahead in the drug trade no matter what the cost even if it meant tearing his club and son apart. He was selfish, crude, and had no remorse. The next minute I felt sorry for the guy. Everything that had happened in his life made him who he was. He was hardheaded and drove everyone he ever loved away. He put his club first instead of his wife and his son. Instead of fighting for the woman he loved he set out on a path of self destruction. In the end I shed a few tears and felt pity for Mad Dog. I love this series and all of the characters. I would love to see more for Amelia (Steels Mother and Mad Dog's wife) and of course I love Steel and Willow. Usually series get worse the more books their are and this one just keeps getting better. I'm excited to see what K.E. Osborn has up her sleeve for the next book. Ohhh what a crazy ride this book was...

Just when you think you know what is going to happen next, the plot thickens-lots of twists and turns!!! I am sooo loving this series!! K.E. Osborn really knows how to write some MC books now!! I just love it-I know, I am repeating myself...but I really am! lol

So this book was about Mad Dog-the MC's president, and I have to confess, I did not care for Mad Dog, I guess he made for a good MC president, he was a jerk and I just never connected with him. lol But, my second confession, I really did end up enjoying this book a lot!! We got a little back ground into Mad Dog's madness. You actually end up, kinda sorta liking him..lol

I gave this book 5 iScream Books Stars!!

I think we finally get Techie's book next...I am soo freaking excited about this!!!

Ghezz, this series just keeps getting better and I hope it continues for many more to come. I must admit this review is going to be a little tough for me because I simply hate spoilers so I refrain from writing them. That being said, I’ll simply state this book is aptly named and the poor guy just can’t seem to get out of his own way.

Mad Dog is the Prez of the Satan Savage MC club and everything he does, or tries to do, is with the club's best interest at heart. Well the club and his family; what’s left of it. Mad Dog has never stopped loving his wife or his son Steel. While they may not be living with him they are never far from his mind and are always in his heart. But what happens when his enemies start to threaten the safety of his club, wife, his son and his son’s Old Lady, Willow? Can Mad Dog somehow find a way to keep them safe and protect his club brothers and their livelihood? Do the choices he’s made in the past come back to haunt him? And are there any possible choices he can currently make to keep everyone safe?

2 thumbs up for an amazing storyline that at times is hard to swallow but will keep readers glued to the pages until the every last one is read! Simply Awesome, no other explanation needed!

I have read all the books in this series. Please read in sequence order to get the best reading experience. I also strongly suggest reading at least the first book in the Shattered Heart series. There are event in this storyline that in my opinion are spoilers for book 1 (Shattered Hearts).
The 4 star rating here may be questionable. Definitely not my favorite of series. I had issues with liking the storyline and characters. I was hoping to get some redemption for both in this one but I just didn't feel it. Not every role just certain ones.
A lot of my issues are based on personal preference/likes. I want to make sure to express that. Just because I didn't like the resolution doesn't mean other readers won't.
Good writing..storytelling. Improvement to details and descriptive areas. Nice continuation of previous book material and stories. Editing and grammatical errors were few.
I would suggest this series. I would suggest this book. I will also read any others released. AndreaGAH

President of the MC, MadDog had it all. Millie his wife, his son Steel and his club. Overtime, his life changed. Millie could not handle the danger of club life so she left. When Millie left, MadDog turned angry and he took advantage of his position as President changing how the club was run. His son Steel who we know from other MC books in the series, left the club sick of what the club had turned in to and also to save his woman. In this latest book of the MC, we see MadDog looking back at his life and realizing this is not who he wants to be. I normally need my books to have a HEA and this one definitely is not normal....MadDog does not end up back united with his family as far as living together in happiness. Knowing that, I enjoyed this one as we see him try and make things right in the eyes of Millie and Steel. I enjoyed this emotional story of courage and forever love. Love for how life used to be and fixing what needed to be fixed. I am glad this book was written, we needed to see what happens when someone wants to fix the dangerous life they created in the MC.

When I first started reading K.E. Osborn’s Meltdown of Mad Dog I really wasn’t sure what to think. Every MC book I’ve read had tons of sex scenes and dealt mainly with the main character than the club. The more I go into the book I felt like I was reading a script for Sons of Anarchy (if you’re a fan of SOA you will love this book).
I loved the dynamics of the club. it was raw, gritty, and completely believable. Mad Dog was a straight up cu** (his words, not mine). His character is almost completely deplorable. His only saving grace is Millie, his ex (estranged??) wife and his son, Steel (aka Dylan). I freaking l loved this book and look forward to reading more of K.E. Osborn.
Seriously if you want a book that grabs your attention, GRAB THIS ONE!! I now have to grab the first 3 books in this series. This book is not a HEA so fair warning on that. I think that is probably what made me love this book so much.

I had a hard time reviewing this book. In the end I gave it 3.5 stars. I haven’t liked Mad Dog since the beginning. I felt he was a wild card and completely unstable. Turns out I was right. :-) If you've ever seen a train wreck you'll relate to this book. You don't want to look but you have to so you can see what happens next. And Mad Dog was definitely a train wreck. I'm kinda glad that the book ended the way it did. I felt retribution was in order and followed thru. I am looking forward to Techie's book. And I'm curious to see if anything else comes from another member that I don't want to mention for spoiler purposes. All in all Meltdown of Mad Dog lived up to its name. I like this authors writing style so I hope I'm given a chance to review her future work.

Holy crap!.

Wow this book blew me away mad dog was a bastard to the core a torturer a never relenting piece of crap who had to have his own way in everything. Until the cartel threatened his estranged wife and son. He faught to keep his club but he was fighting a losing battle especially where his pride was concerned. But wanting to go legit and doing it were two different things.
My head is banging from crying the last 40% of the book i dont want to give any spoilers away but i havent cried like this from reading a book in a very long time. 5 stars from me . This series is the first of read of K E Osborne books.
And im loving it. And the fact she's an Aussie is also a thumbs up. Freakin love it.

The Meltdown of Mad Dog answers SO many questions I had since starting the series. You finally find out what happened between Amelia (Millie) and Mad Dog and what caused her to run but not divorce him.

This book/series is based in Australia so the slang is Australian but the author added a convenient "dictionary" into the Aussie terms and slang. That was very helpful.

I LOVE MC series and Satan's Savages wasn't any different! I do have to say that Dylan might be my favorite. But Mad Dog and his clear love of Dylan definitely ranked him up towards the top!

I hope more books come featuring these characters!

Mad Dog is one of the original members of the Satan’s Savages MC,  but like everything has a beginning and and ending, this chapter is coming to a not so good ending thanks to the imminent meltdown their Prez is facing.

Get ready to experience one helluva of emotional roller coaster. One minute you will hate with a passion Mad Dog,  the next your heart will break for this broken down soul.

Either way you see it, this book will leave you emotionally scared. I know it did me. If you are looking for one impressive MC Series then this is for you.

This is the story of the leader of the Aldinga chapter who has lost his member's respect and trust and is losing his battle with control.

Mad Dog doesn't know what he can do to keep the control on his fellow members and then does the unthinkable. The consequences of his actions will leave lasting effect on everyone around him but he knows this is on him and how he has served the Aldinga chapter in the past few years.

KE Osborn has written another great book in this series which shows that everyone has flaws and makes decisions that affects people around you as well.

I was given a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Gritty, heart-wrenching and sad, this is the story of Mad Dog McNamara, the President of the Satan's Savages MC Virginia Chapter. There are a myriad of feelings while reading this book, some of which are anger and some are plain despair. I hate him and yet I feel for him. Overall this is a compelling read, and one which makes me interested in the Shattered Heart Series which is the spin off series. I will be reading those with interest as well.
Again, KE has dished up a great book full of drama and I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

This book was another good read by K.E. Osborn. Meltdown of Mad Dog is the fourth book in the Satan's Savages MC series. This one is about Mad Dog who is President of the Virginia Satan's Savages MC. His wife left him and Amelia's life is a mess due to her ex-husband which is Mad Dog. This book is emotional roller coaster ride for its gritty and sad and all around likable characters that you fall in love with. This series is a must read and highly recommend it.

Holyshit!!! What The Hell Did I Just Read. I Am Gobsmacked And Reeling From The Utter Meltdown. This Book Was Darj, Violent And Quite Frankly Quite Disturbing.

Love this series!! Mad dog has lost himself, his family, and is on his way to losing his club. This book was hard for me to get into because I just wanted Mad Dog to pull his head out of his rear. The ending really change this for me. KE Osborn managed to redeem Mad dog in the only way she could. I love KE style of writing, gets into the nitty-gritty of a MC club.
