Going into April, the Kentucky Derby and all things horses come into focus. That’s true for Craft(s) Gallery as well, which is showing equine drawings and oil paintings by Jeaneen Barnhart in addition to this artist’s figurative works.

An art piece by Jeaneen Barnhart, whose work is on exhibit at Craft(s) Gallery.

Barnhart’s work has been part of the Derby festivities now for more than two decades and her art was featured in the Kentucky Derby Festival posters of 1994, 1997, 2009 and 2014. Her work also was chosen for the 1999 and 2010 St. James Court Art Show posters and in 2010 for the Woodford Reserve Kentucky Derby 136 commemorative bottle.
